The Best Video Cards For Your Money: May 2012
This update brings a few changes to my recommendations.
Of course, I talk about the newly launched Geforce GTX 670/680/690 at the $400/$500/$1000 price points.
The Radeon HD 6950 makes a comeback at the $200 price point. We also have the GTX 570 making a comeback, at the $270 price point.
Mainstream Gaming PCs v3.5.1: More Video Card Updates!
For Version 3.5, I basically added the newly released Geforce GTX 670 to Tier 5-6, upgraded Tier’s 5 power supply and updated the prices on most parts.
Tier 5 gets a significantly boost in gaming performance, thanks to the video card upgrade from the Radeon HD 7870 to the Geforce GTX 670. Tier 6 also gets a boost in gaming performance, thanks to the video card upgrade from the Radeon HD 7950 3GB to the Geforce GTX 670 2GB.
