The Best 10 Posts of Hardware Revolution in January 2010
The first month of 2010 is already coming to an end, which means it’s time for a recap on what I published here, on Hardware Revolution, in January 2010.
Here are my Best 10 Posts that I published in January 2010:
- For my first post of 2010, 50 Questions and Answers: Review of Hardware Revolution in 2009, I took some time to ask and answer 50 questions about how Hardware Revolution did in 2009. While that was an exercise for me to see the “bigger picture”, I also decided to share it with you to give some insights on the blog.
- From the hosting, to the writing, as well as answering e-mails and getting in touch with other bloggers, a blog like Hardware Revolution takes quite a lot of work to manage. In Planning the Direction of Hardware Revolution for 2010, I talk about what direction I intend to take with this blog in 2010.
- One of the questions in 50 Questions and Answers: Review of Hardware Revolution in 2009, was “Are key pages (About page, Contact page, Advertise page etc) up to date?“. Unfortunately, at the point, my answer was no, which made me realize that I was due to update them. I did so then I outlined which pages were updated in New and Updated Pages on Hardware Revolution.
- If you have the time, reading detailed video card reviews and specs are a lot of fun. However, most of us don’t have the time to do the research and just want the answers. In other words, what you want to know is what is the best video card within your budget. That’s what Best Video Card For Your Money: January 2010 is for.
- In the following post, I replied to a post from another tech website and I argued on Why Netbooks are not on their way out, but Atom Netbooks Are.
- Are you building or are you about to build your first PC? Here are 10 Quick Tips for 1st Time PC Builders
- I get many e-mails asking questions that I have already answered in the past. Often from beginners who simply lack the experience that you get after building a few PCs, which is fine, as you know that we have to start somewhere. Hence why I wrote this FAQ: How to Build Your Own Computer
- I encourage everyone to make the jump and build their own PC. However, I do realize that sometimes, due to an error of your own or a defective part, that your newly assembled PC won’t start and that you need solutions to that. This is why I wrote Help me: Why won’t my newly assembled PC start or boot?
- I took some time to improve and refresh the Gaming PC Builds that I offer on Hardware Revolution. Yes, I know: This isn’t a single post, but rather a series of posts. Nonetheless, considering the amount of information contained in them, I couldn’t leave them out. While I’ll be updating/adding more in February, here are the ones that I updated or added so far:
- I kept some of the best for the end: In Building My First PC #2: From Mike Keenan, Mike Keenan shared his experience on building his first PC. In that post, you’ll read how it went, what went wrong, what Mike did to fix it and his general feeling about his new PC. If you’re thinking of building your first computer, this should be a great source of inspiration for you.

can you write an article about how to clean a pc and things to watch out for, and an article how to overclock and things we should be aware of when overclocking
I liked these articles the best: how to build a pc, $400 & $500 gaming builds, and how atom netbooks are out.
