The best of Hardware Revolution

Thumb it up! DeliciousSave this page

Today I decided to go “back in the past” and share with you some of what I consider to be the best posts that I’ve writen lately. Some of you just came across this site and I wanted to make sure that you don’t miss out on some great posts.

Let’s get started!

The first one is about the incoming Intel cpu, now known as the Core i7. I discuss whether you should consider upgrading to it or not, depending on what you use your computer for, your budget and many other considerations.

I explain what the Core i7 brings to the table, what to expect from it, announced prices and whether you should buy it or not when it’s released. If you can’t decide if you should upgrade or not, this is the post to read!
It’s right here: Core i7: Should you upgrade?

The second and third article are part of a serie of two articles and complete each other.  I wrote about how I believe that the mobile computers are outpacing the desktop computers. My main point being that 2008 will be remembered as the year where the laptops will outsell their desktop counterparts. See it here: The Mobile Computer: Outpacing the Desktop

Of course, not everyone agreed, as we all have different experience, needs and backgrounds when it comes to computers. Some power users just rather have a larger screen or several of them, while people on the go agreed as they enjoy smaller netbooks. In a nutshell, there were a lot of reactions and I decided to do A follow up to “The Mobile Computer: Outpacing the desktop”

The last article, but not the least:I bought an Intel E5200 cpu, to replace my aging E6300 and to satisfy my need for more speed, especially the part in me that enjoys overclocking and pushing the hardware to its limit. In that article, I question if overclocking is a matter of skill and I show the results of my overclocking with the E5200. Once again, this article had a lot of reactions, with heated discussions.

Enjoy and I’ll see you tomorrow for a new post on Hardware Revolution!
