The Best Prebuilt Extreme Gaming/Creative Workstation PCs?

By that, I mean the prebuilt PCs that offer the best performance possible in video games.

Beyond video game performance, some of these PCs are so powerful, that I also recommend them for creative professionals that want to use their PC for gaming and as a powerful workstation. Some upgrades may be required, depending on your specific needs of course.

Why write this article?

How much time do you have to research the best computer?

Many of us don’t have much time to read, or the knowledge to understand, detailed computer specifications nor reviews and just want to know:
What’s the best PC for my needs?

I’m here to help you with this article. I believe that you deserve the computer that is the best for your needs. That way, your computer is working for you and not the other way around. This allows you to focus your full potential on realizing what you want, without being limited by your computer.

With 17 years of experience with computer hardware, researching, always up-to-date research with the newest parts, performance and prices, I know what matters in a computer.
See my About page for more information on me, Mathieu Bourgie, and this website, Hardware Revolution

I recommend the computers that offer the best performance at a given price, without sacrificing reliability of course.

About the CUK Trion/Mantis/Sentinel

This is the PC with the most gaming performance that we recommend.

Equipped with two(2) Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB, which are the most powerful graphic cards on the market at the moment, together in SLI for higher performance than a single graphic card.

Note that having your graphic cards in SLI does not mean a 100% performance boost but depending on the game you’re playing, you can expect in between 30% and 70% more performance.

This build also is equipped with the CPU that offers the best gaming performance: the 8th generation six core, 12 threads, 3.7-4.7GHz Intel Core i7-8700K processor.

You also get 32GB of RAM, enough to handle the two 11GB graphic card and make this build future-proof for a while.

Storage wise, you get a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD, which is faster than a regular SATA III SSD, making your PC boot even faster, make it even more responsive and have your apps launch even faster.

You also get a 3TB hard drive to install all your games.

It can run pretty much all games at a 4K resolution with maxed out details and 90+ FPS rate.

Pros:

  1. Equipped with a powerful overclocked Intel i7-8700K 3.7-4.7GHz Quad-Core Hyper-threading CPU.

  8. 4 x USB 3.0 ports
  9. 4 x USB 2.0 ports

  12. 3 year warranty

  2. No card reader
  3. No optical drive
  4. No WiFi or Bluetooth adapter

For creative professionals:

If you are a creative professional, who also enjoys gaming, your rendering time will decrease by having a CPU with more cores. With the most powerful recommendation, you can even game while rendering, with a minimal hit to rendering times.

In order of performance and price, I recommend four Gaming PCs, all four with the most powerful dedicated gaming graphic, the first three with a Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 Ti and the fourth one with two of them in SLI. While there is a small variance in gaming performance between the first three models, due to the different CPUs, it does not matter and here’s why: If you play at 1920 x 1080, the graphic card is so powerful that you will get such high framerates that it won’t matter. I mean, whether you get 150 or 165FPS isn’t going to make any perceivable difference. When you get into higher resolutions, the CPU hardly has an impact on the gaming performance.

In other words, the gaming performance between the following PCs is, in a perceivable manner, similar. All recommendations offer outstanding gaming performance. Pick which one you want depending on the CPU that you want or need for your workload.

If you want nothing but the best, see the last recommendation.

See our article on the best CPUs to help you compare these four CPUs and figure it out or leave a comment with your questions, what your typical workload consists of and I’ll get back to you with my recommendations.

SkyTech [GTX 1080 TI Version] Shadow X
– Click here to see the price on Amazon

About the SkyTech [GTX 1080 TI Version] Shadow X

As far as gaming goes, this build will offer slightly lower performance as the recommendations for gaming only.

However, for creative pros, the step up comes from the CPU, the 8 core/16 threads Ryzen 7 2700X offers a better performance than the six core/12 threads Intel i7-8700K when it comes to photo, video and 3D editing and other similar tasks that can take advantage of more cores/threads.

On the downside, you get only 16GB of RAM. That said, 16GB is still plenty for heavy applications and you can always add more.

Storage wise, you get an high performance 500GB SSD drive. Need more storage capacity? You can add storage drives without voiding the warranty.
